Comment: The circumstances, under which children are being given their primary education in schools all over the country, is a disgrace. Thanks God, their teachers are excellent but what is urgently needed is an allocation of extra budget to the Department of Education and a change of policy which makes the building of new schools a priority in the entire Republic. It seems, the Government doesn't care. Full of talk about a knowledge economy but how are our children to compete with low-wages economies?

Comment: As a parent what I have found most annoying when asking Ministers and Public representatives for a new school in Passage is how they say that they will "fully support" me in my efforts to get a new school for my children. If I have a broken tap at home and I call a plumber I don't expect him to stand in my kitchen and "fully support" all my efforts to get my tap fixed. I don't want support, what I do want is a new school.
